Charlotte Volleyball Camps
Charlotte 49er Volleyball Camps at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte are dedicated to providing a volleyball camp that is both instructional and informational along with creating a great atmosphere to learn!
The coaching staff here at UNC Charlotte prides itself on teaching the sport of volleyball to players of all ages and ability levels. All camps are taught by our coaching staff and players. The mechanics and drills that are taught at our camps are used with our college players. We are determined to provide the best possible learning experience for our campers.

Create an original piece of pottery, starting from a lump of clay and finishing it with a beautiful glaze! The class will involve 2 sessions, 2 weeks apart. The dates of the classes are flexible and may be arranged through direct contact with Marie. All classes will be offered between 6/17/2013 and 7/26/2013. The 1st session of the class will involve building your vessel with raw clay. The 2nd session will involve glazing your bisque fired vessel. The cost of the class is $50.00 and includes materials, instruction, and two kiln firings. Vintage Valle Music
Come! Join us for an afternoon of community music at Baird's Creek Presbyterian Church, 2147 NC Hwy 194 S, Vilas NC 28692, on the 3rd Sunday of each summer month from 4 to 6 p.m.
Each evening your musical neighbors present 2, 3 or more acoustic music acts. We invite all to join in a closing sing-along jam.

The Boone Area Lions Club wants your blood!
The Boone Area Lions Club is sponsoring a Community Blood Drive with the American Red Cross on Tuesday, May 7 from 1:30-6:00 pm at the Boone Holiday Inn Express. There is a critical need for healthy blood; don’t pass up this opportunity to help out. To make an appointment, call 264-8226. Drop ins are also welcome. Just come by the Holiday Inn Express on Tuesday, May 7.

Boone United Methodist Church Pre-School applications being accepted
Boone United Methodist Preschool is a morning program for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. We provide experiences for children in an environment which encourages the child to ask questions, explore, experiment, make friends, and be aware that every person has value as a child of God. Watauga County 4-H is holding its annual fruit plant sale. Proceeds help support youth programs in Watauga County. Supplies are available at a first-come first ordered basis.
Plants available include blueberry, strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, and heritage apple trees.

Watauga Humane Society has contracted with North Carolina State Spay/Neuter Financial Assistance Program to offer a $20 FIX for your dog or cat to qualifying individuals. Annual household incomes under 300% of Federal Poverty Level Guidelines or those receiving Public Assistance will automatically qualify.
