Description

Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture (BRWIA) announces a class on growing raspberries. This will take place at the Watauga Agricultural Conference Center, 252 Poplar Grove Rd. on Monday, March 8 at 6:30pm. Mary Boyer will teach participants how to grow raspberries successfully in our mountain climate.

Mary has been growing ever bearing raspberries organically in her home garden in Ashe County on a small plot with minimal tools for more than 10 years, and here in snowy February she still has a freezer full of berries. She's happy to share with you what she's learned over the years about cultivation practices, varieties for this area, where to get plants, pruning, trellising, pests, harvesting, and how easy and fun it is.

Please join Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture to hear about Mary’s expertise in growing raspberries, from 6:30-7:30pm on Monday, March 8. There is no cost to attend.
