A Civil Conversation Lecture on the Impact of Women in Politics

On Sunday, August 13, 2017, Dr. David McLennan will speak at 5:30 pm in the American Legion Building in Blowing Rock, NC. This lecture is free and open to the community, and light refreshments will be provided. Dr. McLennan will discuss his research on the impact of women in politics in a lecture titled, "2016 is over! Where do we go from here?"

Dr. McLennan is currently a professor of political science at Meredith College. McLennan’s research expertise includes the impact of negative advertising on political attitudes, image restoration for politicians in trouble, and barriers to women’s electoral success. This is the third in the summer lecture series, A Civil Conversation, sponsored by the Blowing Rock Persisters.
