Description

The Blue Ridge Chapter of the North Carolina Native Plant Society invites you to attend the June 12 meeting in Boone. Bill Dunson, Professor Emeritus of Pennsylvania State University, will tell us how he and his wife converted an old 107 acre farm near Galax, VA, into a "nature preserve" emphasizing plants primarily chosen for their values to birds and butterflies. The title of his talk will be "A Naturalist Buys a Farm."

Meetings are free and open to the public. We meet every second Wednesday of each month at the Holiday Inn Express on Blowing Rock Road in Boone and start at 7 PM, but the room will be open around 6:30 if you would like to come early and chat with other native plant enthusiasts.
