Awesome Alphabet Activities

Friday, September 6, 2019 - 9:00am - 1:00pm

Watauga County Public Library, Evelyn Johnson Meeting Room
140 Queen St.
Boone, NC 28607

Awesome Alphabet Activities will take place on the mornings of First Fridays in the library meeting room from 9:00-1:00. Drop in during those hours to interact with your children around a half dozen learning stations set up to foster conversation about alphabetic knowledge and phonemic awareness (the letters and sounds of the alphabet).

“Research has repeatedly proven that two skills in particular serve as the best predictors of early reading success. Those two skills are phonemic awareness and alphabet recognition.”
